Day 27, 28, 29, 30 – 30 poems in 30 days

This month is National Poetry Writing Month, and it has been brought to my attention by WordPress that this would be an excellent opportunity for us to express ourselves. Everyday, for the entire month, we write a creative piece as homage to poetry. So, I’ve decided to take on this challenge and, it has been years since I wrote anything, so this should be interesting. Obviously, I missed 2 days, but that’s ok. There’s still the rest of the month. Wish me luck!

Day 26

———

Sorry you haven’t read me

My days were not so free

For I was sick

In bed, I coughed and sneezed

My body ached too much to walk

It felt like I was carrying tons of blocks

My weekend was spent

Hot and cold my temperature went

Now that the flu is gone

So is the month, oh wow, now done

I’m coming here to say thank you

For your views and likes here too

This has been great for me

In a way has set me free

You see, it has been years

Since I wrote, partly from fears

But #wordpress helped me bring back

The voice I thought I lacked

By putting down words and thoughts

My inner blockage I sought and fought

My poems may not have been the greatest

But they came from within my best

I would sit and just write

Whatever popped in my mind

I know this just the beginning

A long road just never ending

Thank you, thank you, I say again

So take care and so long my friends

Day 23

Why go to the store?

Picking fruits should be outdoors

Ahhh, wouldn’t that be life?

One year later…

Today marks one year since I began this journey. I am not sure how I feel about it, seeing that I still have a long way to go to reach my goal, however, I must remember I am further than where I started.

I know this feeling stems from being hard on myself and wanting the best, but “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, and neither will my business.

I wish to thank all those who are supporting me throughout this journey, and guiding me towards amazing opportunities. Here’s to another year of learning, helping, and proper marketing lol.

Blessings.

That hate is the solution

Have a heart, love heals

Love has its flaws, right?

So look for the rose within

And escape the thorns

Day 7

—————–

Ring, ring, ring

The bells are going

Is anybody listening?

The sky is blue

The grass is green

The moment has come

To hear those words

I have longed to share

With loved ones far and near

I spoke my heart

And so did he

The name will change

A new chapter has started

Ring, ring, ring

Is anybody listening?
